About the event

This session will introduce the systems and workflows that support open research dissemination at Deakin, focusing on pathways to free open access. It will focus on Elements (Deakin's publications management platform) and DRO (Deakin’s institutional repository, which hosts open access research).

We will discuss copyright and publisher's agreements, embargo periods and approved versions for open access. A step-by-step guide to depositing author's accepted manuscripts into Elements for Green open access in DRO will be presented.

This session is aimed at Deakin researchers but open to all Deakin staff with an interest in the topic. It will comprise a 20-minute talk, followed by time for questions.
