Getting your data in order: A hands-on workshop to put research data management into practice 

This hands-on 90-minute workshop complements the Research Data Management at Deakin online module. It’s designed to help you make sense of your data responsibilities and take the next steps in managing data well throughout your research project. You’ll explore real-world challenges, reflect on your current practices, and practise using Deakin’s Research Data Planner and Research Data Store. Suitable for all Graduate Researchers, regardless of discipline or stage. 

This session will be recorded, and all registered attendees will receive the recording.

Key skills you'll gain include:

  • Identify relevant challenges and needs for their own research data 

  • Assess and classify your data using Deakin’s Research Data Security Classification   

  • Select appropriate storage solutions based on data classification and project needs 

  • Develop research data management plan using Deakin’s Research Data Planner  

  • Locate and access RDM support services and tools available at Deakin
