OER Searching Workshop
Event details
About the event
Starting to look for or review your teaching and learning resources for T3 or 2026? Thinking about using open resources to save your students money? Or resources which are more accessible, available and equitable? Have you thought about OER?
OER (open educational resources) are resources published under an open licence, which enables their reuse, revision and redistribution. They can include:
-
open textbooks
-
H5P and other interactives e.g. 3D simulations
-
ancillary resources e.g. question banks, flash cards and teaching manuals
-
videos, images, multimedia and more!
Designed by and for, educators and learners, OER are diverse and offer more affordable, equitable, accessible and flexible options for teachers and learners.
In this workshop, we will explore the main platforms for OER textbooks and other resources to start developing a list of resources relevant to your unit needs. We will discuss how the resources can be used in teaching and how to attribute resources you utilise.
To best prepare for this session, please watch the pre-workshop video.
This session will be recorded and all registered attendees will receive a link to the recording.
